Maple Leafs Auston Matthews Comments on Future in Toronto

It's plain and simple, Auston Matthews wants to remain a Toronto Maple Leaf. The superstar forward met with the media on Monday and was very clear of his intentions.

The Maple Leafs are reportedly working on a contract extension for Kyle Dubas so this is very good news when it comes to getting an extension done with Matthews. He'd like to have this completed throughout this upcoming offseason and before next season and there's no doubt Dubas would want to get it done asap as well. The two have a great relationship and it seems like the writing is on the wall for Leafs Nation. Matthews is staying.
