NHL Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Connor Brown

Connor Brown's 2022-23 season ended after just four games with the Washington Capitals due to a season-ending injury. Now, he is entering the offseason as a UFA. Although he missed a lot of the year, he should still get interest around the league, as he is a proven middle-six winger. As a result, let's discuss three potential landing spots for him.

Minnesota Wild: The Minnesota Wild are in trouble financially, and they will need to sign free agents to cheap deals if they hope to add to their roster. When noting that Brown missed almost an entire year of action, he is likely to sign a cheap one-year, prove-it deal. As a result, the Wild must consider him as an option.

Boston Bruins: Similar to the Wild, the Boston Bruins are in trouble with their salary cap and have several notable pending UFAs. As a result, their 65-win roster will lose a lot of depth this offseason, and they could take a chance on a player like Brown on an affordable. He would be a good addition to their third line, after all.

Washington Capitals: Perhaps the Capitals could look to give Brown another chance. They parted ways with a second-round pick to land him, so clearly they like him as a player. If he can stay healthy in 2022-23, he would work well on their second line and would be an option for both their special-team units.
