NHL Rumors: Ottawa Senators Linked to Forward

The Ottawa Senators are heading into the 2023 NHL Offseason with the expectation of improving their roster. As a result, they are looking to add some toughness to their group and have been linked to Ryan Reaves because of it.

Reaves is going to get a decent amount of interest around the league this summer, as his toughness and physicality still make him an effective fourth-liner in the NHL. With that, following being traded by the New York Rangers to the Minnesota Wild, he proved he can contribute a bit offensively as well, as he had five goals and 10 assists. Therefore, it makes sense that the Senators are looking at him as a possible upgrade over a player like Austin Watson in their bottom six.

The Senators will need to add more bite to their roster if they hope to improve their chances of being a legitimate playoff team next year, so look for them to make a big push for Reaves this summer. We will need to wait and see if they successfully sign the 36-year-old winger from here.
