Philadelphia Flyers Rumors: Defenseman Becoming Trade Candidate

The Philadelphia Flyers are preparing to begin a legitimate rebuild this summer, and they are expected to make several moves because of it. One player who they are reportedly willing to listen to offers for is defenseman Nick Seeler.

Seeler started to generate trade interest leading up to the deadline, but a move did not come to fruition. However, now that the Flyers are rebuilding and Seeler is coming off of the best season of his NHL career, we should expect to see the Flyers take advantage of his heightened trade value. This is especially so when noting that next season is the last year of his contract.

Seeler has shown that he can be a serviceable bottom-pairing defenseman, and there will be plenty of teams linked to him this summer because of it. He also only has a $775,000 cap hit so that naturally makes him an even more appealing trade target.

In 77 games this year for the Flyers, Seeler had four goals, 14 points, and 126 hits.
