Vancouver Canucks Rumors: Journeyman Forward On Team's Radar

The Vancouver Canucks are looking to free up cap space this summer, but they also are in need of a new third-line center. Due to this, there are considering veteran forward Erik Haula as an option because of it.

Haula has shown that he can be solid offensive contributor playing third-line minutes, so it makes sense that the Canucks are looking at him as a free-agent target. He is coming off of a 41-point campaign in 80 games, and that is exactly the kind of production that the Canucks would love to have on their their third line. With that, he also can kill penalties and be an option for their power play.

Haula has become a journeyman, as he has played for six teams since the 2018-19 season. Therefore, expect him to ask for a two-year or three-year contract this summer. Let’s see if Vancouver gives him just that from here.
