Buffalo Sabres Rumors: Coyotes Winger Becoming Trade Target

The Buffalo Sabres are gearing up for a big offseason as they aim to finally take that next step and make the playoffs next year. As a result of this, they are weighing their options, and it appears that they have a new player on their radar. According to The Fourth Period, the Sabres are linked to Arizona Coyotes winger Lawson Crouse.

Crouse has been the subject of trade rumors over the last few seasons, and that is continuing into the summer. With the Coyotes in a full-on rebuild, this is understandable. Crouse has the potential to net the Coyotes a very big return, while the Sabres have a boatload of assets to work with. Thus, there could be a strong match between these two teams to get a trade finalized.

Crouse is coming off of another strong season that saw him post 25 goals and 45 points in 77 games. Besides his solid offensive production, the 6-foot-4 winger makes a major impact with his physicality. Thus, he is a player built for the playoffs, but playing for Arizona will not give him that opportunity. Perhaps becoming a Sabre would.

Nevertheless, we will now need to wait and see if the Sabres end up being the lucky team to acquire Crouse this summer.
