Nashville Predators Rumors: Lightning Forward On Team's Radar

The Nashville Predators made some major changes to their roster before the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline passed, marking the beginning of a retool. Yet, that does not mean that they are officially rebuilding. Instead, they are expected to make some additions to their group this offseason, and one player on their radar is Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ross Colton.

The Predators are looking to beef up their middle six, and adding Colton would be a step in the right direction. The New Jersey native is coming off of another solid season, posting 16 goals and 32 points in 81 games played. With numbers like these, he would be an ideal candidate to be the club's third-line center if acquired. Yet, his versatility would also make him a candidate to play on the wing.

Colton would also improve the Predators' power play and penalty kill because of his very solid all-around game. With that, he is just 26 years old, so he still has the potential to improve.

With Colton due for a raise and the Lightning not having much money to work with, a Colton trade seems quite likely. Let's see if Nashville lands him from here.
