Nashville Predators Rumors: 2 Possible Landing Spots for Tyson Barrie

Nashville Predators defenseman Tyson Barrie was recently listed as a trade candidate by The Athletic. It makes sense, as the Predators have a surplus of NHL-caliber right-shot defensemen, and he is entering the final season of his deal. Due to this, let's discuss two possible landing spots for the offensive d-man.

Dallas Stars: The Dallas Stars could use a boost on the right side of their defensive group, so it could make sense for them to take a chance on Barrie. He would improve their second pairing and be a major contributor to their power play if acquired. The Stars have been connected to right-shot defensemen like Matt Dumba (before he signed with the Arizona Coyotes) and Brett Pesce, so don't be surprised if they consider Barrie, too.

Carolina Hurricanes: The Carolina Hurricanes could also look at Barrie as an option. They were in on the Erik Karlsson sweepstakes before his move to the Pittsburgh Penguins, so it is clear that they would like more offense from the point. With that, a spot could open for Barrie on their roster if Pesce is dealt before the season starts.
