NHL Rumors: Several Teams Showing Interest In Phil Kessel

Multiple NHL teams are showing a growing and percolating interest in signing Phil Kessel to a contract for the current season, as reported by TSN's Chris Johnston.

Despite being 35 years old, Kessel has not resorted to pursuing a professional tryout offer, which speaks to the genuine interest from these teams.

Kessel's willingness to embrace a secondary role within a team, even if it means ending his impressive consecutive games streak, seems to be the driving factor behind this increased attention.

His reputation as a seasoned player with a history of offensive contributions is likely a significant draw for teams looking to enhance their rosters.

Last season, Kessel amassed 14 goals and 36 total points across 82 games played with the Vegas Golden Knights.

It remains to be seen which team will ultimately secure his signature and how he will contribute to their success in the current season.
