Bruins to Scratch Notable Player for LA Kings Game
Notable news out of Boston, as Jake DeBrusk will be a healthy scratch for the Bruins' contest against the Los Angeles Kings. This scratch is because the 2015 first-round pick was late for a team meeting.
DeBrusk, 27, is in the final season of his contract and has been engaging in contract extension talks with the Bruins. As a result, being late for a team meeting and being a healthy scratch because of it is coming at quite an unfortunate time for him.
In three games this season, DeBrusk has zero points to go along with four penalty minutes and an even rating. Overall, it has been a bit of an underwhelming start for him, and now he will need to wait another game before getting the chance to crack the scoresheet for the first time.
Alas, we will need to wait and see how DeBrusk responds to this healthy scratch from here.
