3 Players Placed On Waivers

Jacob Bryson (Buffalo Sabres), Lucas Johansen (Washington Capitals), and Ryan Shea (Pittsburgh Penguins) have all been placed on waivers.

Bryson, 26, has been the odd man out on the Sabres' blue line this season, appearing in just three games. He last played for the Sabres on Nov. 4.

Johansen, 26, was selected by the Capitals with the 2016 first-round pick and has never been able to cement himself as a permanent spot in their lineup. In six games this season with the Caps, he has one assist to go along with a plus-1 rating.

Shea, 26, has played in 22 games this season with the Penguins, where he has zero points to go along with a minus-2 rating.

Teams in need of some defensive depth could consider bringing in one of these three through a waiver claim from here.
