Huge Development For Sabres & Tage Thompson

After missing nine games with an injury suffered from blocking a shot, Buffalo Sabres star forward Tage Thompson has announced he is returning to the lineup tonight.

This is tremendous news for the Sabres, who went 3-6 in Thompson's absence and dropped to 7th place in the Atlantic Division.

Thompson made the announcement himself to the media after he joined his teammates for their morning skate in advance of Tuesday night's game against the Detroit Red Wings.

Thompson has 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 16 games. Last season, he led the Sabres with an NHL career-high 47 goals, 47 assists and 94 points.
