Ducks Rumors: John Gibson Trade Chatter Picking Up

The Anaheim Ducks are rapidly dropping in the standings, and it seems quite likely that they will be sellers this season. Because of this, goaltender John Gibson is now picking up some steam as a trade candidate.

The Bleacher Report released their trade block big board for December, and Gibson was among the names who made the cut. They noted that two teams who have been connected to Gibson during this season include the New Jersey Devils and Edmonton Oilers. With that, other teams who were connected to him during the offseason were the LA Kings, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Buffalo Sabres.

Gibson is off to a solid start this season, as he sports a .907 save percentage (SV%) and a 2.80 goals-against average (GAA) in 17 appearances. He has looked more like his old self, and there should be more interest in him as we get closer to the deadline because of it.

We will now need to wait and see if Gibson finds a new home during this campaign from here.
