Predators Rumors: Tyson Barrie Opens Up About Trade Talk

Tyson Barrie has been one of the most-talked-about players in the rumor mill, and for good reason. He was given permission to speak with other teams to seek a trade earlier this month. The veteran defenseman recently spoke with reporters and had this to say on the ongoing matter: "Well, if we’re getting into it, I’m in the stands, so it doesn’t really feel like a great fit. My goal is to be playing hockey. Whether that’s here or elsewhere is up for the powers that be to decide."

Barrie was quite transparent here. He is unhappy after being healthy scratched, and it is understandable. He is plenty good enough to be playing every game, as he had 55 points just last season. With that, he is always a threat on the power play, and teams will be calling because of it.

Given how honest both Barrie and GM Barry Trotz have been going about this ongoing situation, it seems that a move will happen soon. We will need to be on the lookout for one from here.
