Ducks Rumors: 2 Teams Expected to Target Adam Henrique

The Anaheim Ducks made a big move today, trading Jamie Drysdale and a second-round pick to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for top prospect Cutter Gauthier. As a result of this, the Ducks have broken the ice and are ready to make more trades.

Veteran forward Adam Henrique is one player who is expected to be traded, as he is a pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) who several playoff teams will likely look to add due to his experience and overall leadership. Here are three specific clubs to watch in the sweepstakes now.

New Jersey Devils: The New Jersey Devils could look to bring back Henrique. Their bottom six could use a boost, and he would give them that due to the fact that he provides solid secondary scoring. With that, he would give them another option for their second power-play unit.

New York Islanders: The New York Islanders could also consider bringing in Henrique. It is not a secret that Lou Lamoriello likes bringing in players he is familiar with. However, the Islanders also could use some help in their bottom six, so it would make sense for the Islanders to bring him in for more reasons than one. As a result, they could surely be in the mix for his services, especially if the Ducks are open to retaining half of his salary.

We will now need to wait and see if either of these two teams land Henrique before the trade deadline passes from here.
