Ducks Rumors: 2 Teams Linked to Frank Vatrano

The Anaheim Ducks are gearing up to be sellers at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. This is understandable, as they are one of the worst teams in the NHL and are in the middle of a rebuild.

2024 NHL All-Star Frank Vatrano has come up in the rumor mill a lot this season, and now, we have confirmation that two teams are linked to him. According to The Fourth Period, the Detroit Red Wings and New York Islanders are interested in acquiring Vatrano.

The Red Wings are expected to be buyers for the first time in quite some time at the deadline, as they are right in the playoff race in the Eastern Conference. One area that they should be looking to improve is on the wing, and Vatrano would give them just that if acquired. He would be a big addition to their top nine and work quite nicely on their power play as well.

As for the Islanders, it is clear that they could use a bit more scoring in their lineup. Because of this, Vatrano would be a nice addition to their top six. He would give them a much-needed sniper to work with, and he would be more than just a rental, which makes things even better for the Isles.

We will now need to wait and see if either of these two clubs land Vatrano from here.
