NHL Rumors: Flyers & Stars Becoming Possible Trade Partners

The Philadelphia Flyers entered this season with the expectation of being one of the worst teams in the NHL. Instead, they currently hold a playoff spot, and they just are refusing to fall back down to Earth. Although this is the case, it has been established that they are still going to be sellers at the deadline, as they are, of course, rebuilding.

The Dallas Stars, on the other hand, are among the NHL's best teams, and they are expected to be buyers at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline because of it. One area that they are going to look to improve is the right side of their defensive group. Thus, with the Flyers selling, the Stars are a team to watch when it comes to defenseman Sean Walker.

Walker is one of the top defensemen expected to be moved by the deadline, as he has an expiring contract. With that, he has improved his trade value due to his strong 2023-24 season, so he is going to garner a lot of trade interest until a move comes to fruition.

Walker would be a solid addition to the Stars' lineup, as he could fit on either their second or third pairing and kill penalties for them if acquired. However, besides the Stars, other teams who have been connected to him include the Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, and New Jersey Devils.

We will now need to wait and see if the Stars end up being the club that lands Walker before the deadline passes from here.
