Penguins Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Reilly Smith

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Reilly Smith has been starting to pick up some steam in the rumor mill, as he was named on The Athletic's most recent trade board. Smith has had a bit of a tough time fitting into the Penguins' system, so they could look to move him to improve their roster elsewhere. Because of this, let's discuss three teams who could consider bringing him in now.

Dallas Stars: Could a reunion with the Dallas Stars being in the cards for Smith? He was one of the main pieces who was sent to the Boston Bruins as a part of the big Tyler Seguin trade back in 2013. Now, with the Stars needing a bit more scoring on the wing and a boost in their top six, it could make sense to bring in Smith before the deadline passes.

Arizona Coyotes: The Arizona Coyotes are looking to stay in the playoff race and could look at a player like Smith because of it. He is under contract until the end of next season, so he would be more than a rental. As a result, there could be a fit here with the Coyotes, as he would improve their top six and be a key addition to their power play.

Nashville Predators: The Nashville Predators' lineup could use a bit more power with their forwards, so it would not be shocking if they made a push for Smith. He would give them another veteran to work with who could help mentor their younger players if acquired.
