Arizona Coyotes Recall 2 Players

The Arizona Coyotes are bringing in some reinforcements, as they have called up forward Justin Kirkland and defenseman Steven Kampfer from the Tucson Roadrunners.

Kirkland, 27, has appeared in two games during this season with the Coyotes, where he has zero points to go along with five hits. He was also recently called up to their NHL roster on an emergency basis for their recent contest against the Carolina Hurricanes, but he was immediately sent down to the AHL following it.

Kirkland has played in 21 games this season with the Roadrunners, he has two goals to go along with 17 points. In nine career NHL games split between the Anaheim Ducks and Coyotes, he has zero points.

Kampfer, on the other hand, will be looking to make his first appearance at the NHL level since the 2020-21 season when he was a member of the Boston Bruins. With the Coyotes dealing with some injury trouble on their blue line, specifically on their right side with Matt Dumba and Troy Stecher, Kampfer may get into some action.

Kampfer has appeared in 18 games this season with the Roadrunners as their captain this season, where he has four assists. In 231 career games over nine NHL seasons, he has 15 goals to go along with 39 points.
