Blues Rumors: Star Forward Listed as Trade Candidate

The 2024 NHL Trade Deadline is rapidly approaching. We saw one of the NHL's top trade candidates, Elias Lindholm, get moved early from the Calgary Flames to the Vancouver Canucks, and more moves are expected to occur from here. Interestingly, another big-name forward is now starting to generate some serious trade buzz as well.

TSN recently released their latest Trade Bait board, and St. Louis Blues top forward Pavel Buchnevich was ranked at the No. 34 spot. This is certainly intriguing, as if the Blues officially shop him, he would immediately become one of the best trade candidates in the entire league.

After posting 67 points in 63 games last season for the Blues, Buchnevich is producing well again this campaign. In 47 games, he has 17 goals to go along with 39 points. While he is not a point-per-game player this season, he is still contributing offensively, and several teams would love to add him to their top six.

Some early teams to watch when it comes to Buchnevich include the New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals, Calgary Flames, and Edmonton Oilers. We will need to wait and see if he ends up getting moved during this season from here.
