Insider Names 8 Possible Suitors for Predators' Alexandre Carrier

The Nashville Predators are still retooling their roster, and there is a good chance that we will see some of their players moved before the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline passes because of it. One specific player to watch over these next few weeks is pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) Alexandre Carrier.

In a recent article for Daily Faceoff, NHL insider Frank Seravalli listed several possible suitors for Carrier. The clubs he named include the Boston Bruins, Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vegas Golden Knights, and Vancouver Canucks.

Seeing that Seravalli views each of these teams as possible landing spots for Carrier is entirely understandable. When looking at their rosters, they each could use an upgrade on the right side of their bottom pairing before the postseason is here. As a result, it would not be too surprising to see at least some of them make a push for him, especially when the bigger-name defensemen are off of the board.

Carrier, 27, has appeared in 46 games this season with the Predators, where he has four goals to go along with 14 points. Overall, it has been a solid season for him, as he has produced a bit offensively and has been reliable defensively. Because of this, he would be a sneaky good addition for one of the clubs listed above.

We will now need to wait and see if he finds a new home before the deadline passes from here.
