Avalanche Trade Ben Meyers to Ducks

The Colorado Avalanche have made another move, this time trading forward Ben Meyers to the Anaheim Ducks for a 2024 fifth-round pick.

With the Avalanche adding both Brandon Duhaime and Yakov Trenin to their roster this week, they were in a position to part ways with another forward. As a result, Meyers is on the move and will get the chance to play for a rebuilding Ducks team.

This move to the Ducks could benefit Meyers, as he should receive far more consistent playing time while with a far weaker Anaheim club. This could be enough for him to take that next step in his development and become a more impactful NHL player.

Meyers has appeared in nine NHL games this season, where he has one goal to go along with a minus-2 rating. He has been having a strong season down in the AHL with the Colorado Eagles, too, posting 11 goals to go along with 25 points in 32 games.

Nevertheless, this is a good low-risk move for the Ducks. Let's see how much of an impact he can make for them from here.
