Devils Rumors: 3 Offseason Goalie Trade Targets

The New Jersey Devils' 2023-24 season was quite disappointing, and the major reason behind it was their poor goaltending. They somewhat addressed their goalie issues at the deadline, adding both Jake Allen and Kaapo Kahkonen. However, it is also known that the Devils' plan this offseason is to add a high-impact starter. As a result, let's discuss their top three trade targets now.

Jacob Markstrom: Jacob Markstrom is certainly a goalie to watch this offseason when it comes to the Devils. They worked hard to land him at the deadline, but the rumored deal fell through. With the Calgary Flames going through a retooling period and Dustin Wolf in their system, the expectation is that Markstrom will be moved. But will it be to Jersey?

Linus Ullmark: The Devils were one of the handful of teams linked to Linus Ullmark leading up to the deadline. The Boston Bruins are likely to deal him this offseason, as fellow star netminder Jeremy Swayman is due for a raise. Ullmark would give the Devils a major upgrade in net, so they should be in the mix for him again this offseason.

Juuse Saros: The Devils have also been heavily connected to Nashville Predators star Juuse Saros. The expectation is that they will listen to offers for him again this offseason, and the Devils will almost certainly be in the mix.
