Golden Knights Acquire Anthony Mantha From Capitals

The Vegas Golden Knights have started making moves as they have acquired Anthony Mantha from the Washington Capitals for a second-round pick in 2024 and a fourth-round pick in 2026.
The Golden Knights have started to slip as of late, and that is due to their injuries. One main piece that should be out until at least the playoffs is Mark Stone. So with $9.5 million on the LTIR, this opened up room for the team to go out and acquire help up front.

The Capitals haven't been able to trade Mantha for a couple of years now after his game fell off, but in the final year of his deal, he has really picked up his game and was second on the team in goals (20) and fourth in points (34) in 56 games. Mantha is very large, but doesn't always use his physicality. His confidence levels definitely rose this season and if he can get back to the way he played in Detroit or continues to play how he has this season, the Golden Knights have a good player coming in.
