NHL Rumors: 4 Teams Having Goalie Trade Talks

Today is trade deadline day, and things are naturally going to get crazy. Teams only have a few hours to make their final changes to their rosters before 3:00 pm ET. As expected, things are already starting to heat up, much to the excitement of hockey fans.

According to former NHL goalie and current insider Kevin Weekes, the Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames, Los Angeles Kings, and New Jersey Devils are all having goalie discussions. He also noted that three-way trade scenarios could be on the table.
Hearing that all four of these teams are having goalie discussions is not surprising in the slightest. Linus Ullmark (Bruins) and Jacob Markstrom (Flames) are the two top goalies on the trade market, while the Kings and Devils desperately need help between the pipes. Thus, we have a pretty good understanding about which teams are open to selling their goalies and which teams are looking to add.

This will be something to pay very close attention to over the next handful of hours. The Bruins could use Ullmark to land something to help improve their roster elsewhere, while the Flames can continue their major retool by moving Markstrom.
