Predators' Jeremy Lauzon to Miss Time

The Nashville Predators are down another defenseman, as the club announced that Jeremy Lauzon will be out week-to-week due to a lower-body injury.

The Predators' blue line has been dealing with the injury bug big time. Over the last week, Dante Fabbro and Spencer Stastney both were announced as being week-to-week, and now Lauzon is only the latest to miss time.

Lauzon, 26, has been a key part of the Predators' blue line this season, so hearing that he is set to miss multiple weeks is very troubling. He has been a solid defensive defenseman for them and has made a significant impact with his physical style of play, as his league-leading 327 hits effectively display.

Lauzon has also set new career highs with six goals and 13 points this season, so it has simply been a strong season for him. However, it now will, unfortunately, need to be put on pause because of this injury.

Lauzon's absence is coming at a tough time for the Predators, as they are currently aiming to cement a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
