TRADE: Rangers Acquire Jack Roslovic From Blue Jackets

The New York Rangers have made another addition, acquiring Jack Roslovic from the Columbus Blue Jackets.

In return, the Blue Jackets are receiving a fourth-round pick, which becomes a third-round pick if the Rangers reach the Stanley Cup Final.

Roslovic had a frequent topic in trade rumors over the past several months stemming from the emergence of several forwards within the Blue Jackets' top nine, rendering Roslovic's role less critical.

Coming off one of the best seasons of his career in 2022-23, the 27-year-old has taken a step back this season, with only six goals and 23 points across 40 games, and experiencing being made a healthy scratch by the team.

That being said, Roslovic is a very intriguing addition by the Rangers, as he can play both center and right-wing, is a very skilled passer and excellent puck handler, and could really thrive in a successful environment with the Rangers.

Roslovic is in the final year of a 2-year, $8M deal ($4M AAV), and will be an unrestricted free agent after this season.

Over the past four seasons, the 6-foot-1 forward has amassed 51 goals and 95 assists for a total of 146 points across 246 games played.
