Blackhawks Sign Nick Lardis to Entry-Level Contract

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed one of their top prospects, as Nick Lardis has inked a three-year, entry-level contract with the club. He will carry a $897,000 cap hit at the NHL level.

Lardis, 18, is considered to be one of the Blackhawks' top-10 prospects, so getting him signed is notable news. The promising winger is viewed as having plenty of upside and should have a future in the NHL because of it.

The Blackhawks selected Lardis in the third round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft with the 67th pick. So far, this is a selection that is already looking like a good one for the Blackhawks, as Lardis is continuing to improve each and every season.

Lardis put together an impressive season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Brantford Bulldogs. The 5-foot-11 forward set new career highs with 29 goals and 50 points in 37 games. He is showing that he has the tools to be an impactful sniper, and now he will look to continue developing in the right direction after inking this entry-level deal with the Blackhawks.

Lardis will likely need a bit of time before making the jump to the NHL level, but this ELC is still big news for him. He is now officially a part of the Blackhawks' future plans.
