Blues Top Prospect Jimmy Snuggerud Makes Big Decision

St. Louis Blues top prospect Jimmy Snuggerud has made a big decision regarding where he will be playing next season. The University of Minnesota announced that Snuggerud will stay with the school for his junior season.

With Snuggerud being such a big prospect in the Blues' system, there was plenty of speculation that he would sign his entry-level contract with the club to begin his professional career. However, the youngster has made the big decision to stick with the school to continue to work on his development.

Snuggerud, 19, was selected by the Blues with the 23rd overall pick of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The expectation is that he will become an impactful player for the club later down the road because of his high offensive skills and solid all-around play.

Snuggerud appeared in 39 games this past season with the University of Minnesota, posting 21 goals to go along with 34 points. During his freshman season with the school, he had 21 goals and 50 points in 40 games. He has shown that he is an impactful collegiate player, but he is not done with the school yet.

We will need to wait and see how well Snuggerud performs for the school next season. It should be a big year for him.
