Flyers Sign Prospect Massimo Rizzo

The Philadelphia Flyers have made a notable move, as they have signed prospect Massimo Rizzo to a two-year, entry-level contract.

The Flyers acquired Rizzo from the Carolina Hurricanes back in August 2023. Following the move, he put together another strong season with the University of Denver, as he had 10 goals to go along with 44 points in 30 games.

Rizzo had an excellent collegiate career with the University of Denver. In three years with the school, the 22-year-old forward had 39 goals to go along with 126 points in 107 games. After a strong tenure with Denver, it is clear that Rizzo is now ready to begin his professional career.

Rizzo is viewed as having a lot of upside and could be in the mix for a spot on the Flyers' NHL roster next season if he has a strong training camp. Whether or not he makes the Flyers' opening night roster next season, it is apparent that he has all the tools to be an impactful player for them in the near future.
