Montreal Canadiens Sign Top Prospect Lane Hutson

The Montreal Canadiens have made a major move, as the club has signed top prospect Lane Hutson to an entry-level contract, as first reported by NHL insider Elliotte Friedman.
Hutson, 20, was selected by the Canadiens with the 62nd overall pick of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
Since then, he has developed into a star at the collegiate level. As a freshman with Boston University last season, he had 15 goals to go along with 48 points. He then followed that up with an impressive 15 goals and 49 points in 38 games this season. Clearly, this a young defenseman who is ready to play in the NHL, and he is now getting signed because of it.

Hutson is one of the Canadiens' top prospects and is expected to become a high-impact defenseman at the NHL level. He has shown at the collegiate level that he has the potential to dominate offensively from the point. With that, he has been heavily praised for his outstanding speed and great passing ability.

This is significant news for the Canadiens, as Hutson is officially now a part of their organization. The promising youngster will now look to make a major impact for the Canadiens from here.
