Avalanche Rumors: 3 Offseason Suitors for Jonathan Drouin

Jonathan Drouin signed a cheap one-year deal with the Colorado Avalanche this past offseason after a rough few seasons with the Montreal Canadiens. In the end, reuniting with Nathan MacKinnon worked out for the winger, as he had the best season of his career. Now, he is set to land a big raise this offseason. Here are three teams who could look to target him.

Colorado Avalanche: Given how well Drouin performed for the Avs this season, they certainly should look to keep him around. They have limited cap space, which complicates things. However, Drouin has made it clear that he would love to stay if it is possible.

Chicago Blackhawks: The Chicago Blackhawks are going to look to add to their forward group this offseason. Connor Bedard needs some help, and Drouin would give them that. This is especially so when noting that Drouin is a highly skilled playmaker who would set up Bedard nicely.

Washington Capitals: The Washington Capitals are going to look to add to their top six this offseason. It is clear that they need to improve their offensive production if they hope to be a bigger threat in the Eastern Conference, and adding somebody like Drouin would certainly help with that.
