Hurricanes Rumors: 3 Potential Trade Destinations for Martin Necas

After losing in the second round to the New York Rangers, the Carolina Hurricanes are already generating plenty of chatter in the rumor mill. It is understandable, as they have several players with expired contracts and some massive decisions to make. One appears to have been made, however, as
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported that the Canes are not planning to bring back Martin Necas.

With Necas being a restricted free agent and having plenty of value, they will shop him. Let's discuss three teams who could target him now.

Chicago Blackhawks: The Chicago Blackhawks are standing out as a prime landing spot for Necas. They need to give Connor Bedard more weapons to work with, and Necas would be a great option for them because of it. They have the trade assets to work with, and Necas is still young enough where he would fit in nicely into their rebuild.

Buffalo Sabres: The Buffalo Sabres are looking to add a top-six winger to their roster this summer. They are expected to float around their 11th overall pick and could use it to bring in a star like Necas to their group.

Seattle Kraken: The Seattle Kraken must add to their forward group this offseason if they hope to bounce back from their poor season. A player like Necas should get their attention because of it, as he would be a major addition to their first line and power play.
