Jets Rumors: Tyler Toffoli Linked to Division Rival

Tyler Toffoli is one of the top free agents expected to hit the market this offseason. After another strong season, he is set for a nice raise, and he should have a plethora of suitors once we get to July because of it.

In a recent article for The Athletic, NHL insider Pierre LeBrun mentioned the Nashville Predators as a team that could target Toffoli because they need offense.

After taking a big step forward this season, the Predators are gearing up for what should be a busy summer. It is apparent that they are in a position to make multiple moves to improve their roster, and adding a high-impact winger like Toffoli would give them just that.

If the Predators signed Toffoli, he would immediately fit in their top six, likely on the club's first line with Filip Forsberg and Ryan O'Reilly. Along with that, he would be a massive addition to their power play, as he is a proven scorer and is known for his net front presence ability.

The Predators also have cap space to work with this offseason, so they certainly could make a serious push for Toffoli. We will now need to wait and see if they end up doing just that from here.

In 79 games this season split between the New Jersey Devils and Jets, Toffoli had 33 goals and 55 points.
