VIDEO: Brady Tkachuk & Tom Wilson Have Epic Heavyweight Fight
Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk and Washington Capitals winger Tom Wilson are not only known for their skill, but also their scrappy style of play and toughness. During March 3's contest between the Senators and Capitals, fans at Capital One Arena got to see it firsthand.
With 30.3 seconds left to go in the first period, Tkachuk and Wilson dropped the gloves, much to the excitement of the crowd. As expected, it was a great tilt between the two tough guys. Both players threw multiple hard punches before Tkachuk landed the takedown.

This was undoubtedly a heavyweight battle between the two experienced fighters. Tkachuk stands in at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, while Wilson is also 6-foot-4 but at 220 pounds.
In the end, Wilson and the Capitals got the last laugh over Tkachuk in the Senators. The Capitals defeated the Senators by a 5-4 final score in the shootout. With this, the Capitals have improved to a 39-14-8 record, while the Senators now sit at 30-25-5. Getting the lone point is still better than nothing for the Senators, as they now only trail the Detroit Red Wings by one point for the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
Tkachuk, 25, has appeared in 58 games this season with the Sens, where he has 23 goals, 46 points, 110 penalty minutes, and 192 hits. Wilson, on the other hand, has 27 goals, 47 points, 59 penalty minutes, and 172 hits in 60 games this season with the Caps.
