NHL Rumors: 3 Red Wings Trade Candidates For 2025 Offseason
The Detroit Red Wings had a disappointing 2024-25 season, and changes to their roster should be made this summer because of it. Due to this, let's go over three players who the Red Wings could look to trade this offseason.
Erik Gustafsson
Gustafsson struggled to find his fit during his first season with the Red Wings and could be a player to watch in the trade market this summer because of it. Teams looking for more offense from the point could consider targeting the left-shot defenseman. In 60 games this season with the Red Wings, he had two goals, 18 points, and a minus-19 rating.
Vladimir Tarasenko
Tarasenko is an obvious trade candidate on the Red Wings. He had a rough first season in Detroit and was the subject of several trade rumors leading up to the deadline. Teams looking for more secondary scoring and experience on their roster could pursue the two-time Stanley Cup winner this offseason.
Jonatan Berggren
Berggren is another Red Wing who could use a change of scenery at this point. The 24-year-old forward just does not look like a fit with the Red Wings at this stage, and he has been the subject of trade speculation for quite some time now. In 75 games this season, he had 12 goals, 24 points, and a minus-13 rating.
