Minnesota Wild Re-Sign Marcus Johansson
As I alluded today, #mnwild re-sign Marcus Johansson to a one-year, $800,000 contract. Could have been a UFA next month

The veteran Johansson just finished up his second year of a two-year, $2 million AAV deal and the 34-year-old put up 11 goals and 34 points in 72 games. This was his best season since 2016-17 with the Washington Capitals when he scored 24 goals and 58 points.
This was Johansson's third season back with the Wild and fourth in his career. While he logged 16:23 of ice time this season and was on the second power-play unit, I expect his ice time to be reduced as some big additions are in store.
Johansson can play center or the wing and will probably fit in on the third line most times. He is still effective, but his numbers aren't where they once were. Free agency isn't the best this year, so it was a smart move to keep a familiar face around that works and can contribute.
