NHL Rumors: 2 Teams Linked To Rangers' K'Andre Miller
K'Andre Miller is one of the NHL's top trade candidates with the off-season just about here. The New York Rangers are listening to offers for the left-shot defenseman, and he is starting to generate interest.
According to The Fourth Period, two teams that are currently linked to Miller are the Los Angeles Kings and Calgary Flames.
Hearing that the Kings are interested in Miller is not surprising in the slightest. There is no question that the left side of their defense could use some improvement, and this will especially be the case if Vladislav Gavrikov leaves in free agency. If they brought in Miller, he would give their top four a nice boost and would be a clear choice for both their power play and penalty kill.
The Flames also make a lot of sense as a suitor for the Flames. The left side of their defense is a clear weakness on their roster right now, and bringing in a player like Miller could help change things on that front. If they brought him in, he would immediately be their best left-shot defenseman and would be a clear fit on their top pairing because of it.
Miller, 25, appeared in 74 games this past season with the Rangers, where he posted seven goals, 27 points, 107 hits, 110 blocks, and an even plus/minus rating.
