NHL Trade Rumors: Jordan Kyrou Rejects Trade to Ottawa Senators

Jordan Kyrou knows his days as a St. Louis Blue are numbered, but that doesn't mean he's going to cave into trade talks.

There's been a ton of speculation brewing over Kyrou's future, and many insiders feel the talks have gone on for long enough, and it's time for a change of scenery. Kyrou's been booed by his own fans, made a healthy scratch during big moments of the Blues' past season, and now the trade talks are heating up in a major way. However, Kyrou doesn't mind getting dealt, he just isn't a big fan of becoming an Ottawa Senator.

Kyrou, 28, is signed through the 2031 season at $8.1 million and owns a full no-trade clause until the 2030 season when it changes to just a 15-team clause. Kyrou holds all the power and given there's a ton of big names on the trade market heading into the NHL Draft, it's not out of the question to see the Blues provide Kyrou with multiple destinations to consider over the next two weeks.

The Sens are trying to be aggressive this summer as they know they have to keep Brady Tkachuk happy. They'll be looking to acquire a top-six winger, a top-four right-handed defenceman, and a 1-B goaltender to pair with Linus Ullmark.

The Blues are moving Kyrou, Robert Thomas, Jordan Binnington and potentially Colton Parayko this offseason. St. Louis is reshaping their core, and while the Senators tried to jump on Kyrou recently, he'll be sticking around the Blues a little bit longer.
