NHL Rumors: 3 Rangers Defensemen Who Could Be Traded This Offseason

K'Andre Miller, New York Rangers

The New York Rangers are expected to make changes to their roster this offseason after an ugly 2024-25 campaign. One specific area they are likely go to revamp is their defensive group.

Because of this, let's go over three Rangers defensemen who could end up being traded this summer now.

K'Andre Miller

Miller is one of the biggest names in the rumor mill right now, and there is an expectation that he will be dealt this summer by the Rangers because of it. There are several teams that would love to add a defender like Miller to their top four, and the Blueshirts could get a serious return for him in a move because of it.

Zac Jones

The Rangers gave Jones permission to seek a trade in January of this season, so he is a clear player to watch in trade talks this summer. The 24-year-old defenseman would benefit from a change of scenery, and there should be some clubs out there willing to take a shot on him. In 46 games this season with the Rangers, he had one goal and 11 points.

Carson Soucy

The Rangers need cap space, so it would not be too surprising if they listened to offers on Soucy this offseason. The 6-foot-5 defenseman is entering the final season of his contract and has a $3.25 million cap hit. In 16 games with the Rangers after being acquired from the Vancouver Canucks this season, he had one goal, three points, 29 hits, and a plus-2 rating.
