NHL Free Agency: 3 Teams In The Mix to Sign Jack Roslovic
The NHL free-agent market has been open for three days and while most of the dust has settled, there's plenty of talent left on the open market. The best player available could be Jack Roslovic.
The 28-year-old is versatile, can play down the middle or either wing, and as a right-handed shot, is something many teams crave. Roslovic spent last season with the Carolina Hurricanes, scoring 22 goals and 39 points in 81 games. He's projected to sign around $4 million AAV, and here's three teams to keep an eye on:
Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks added Mikael Granlund, but they're far from done. GM Pat Verbeek wants to make the playoffs next season and in order to do so, will need to continue to improve his top-nine. Roslovic would give them a right-handed shot that they could use more of, and someone who can put the puck in the back of the net in a hurry. The Ducks will look much different next season, and Roslovic could give their secondary scoring a boost.
Chicago Blackhawks
While the Blackhawks are busy working on an extension for Connor Bedard, they have some holes to fill up front of their lineup heading into next season. Roslovic would be an upgrade for them and can help alleviate some scoring woes for Chicago. They have the money to spend, this could be a fit.
Seattle Kraken
The Kraken a tough team to judge because none of their moves tend to make sense, but they have plenty of cap space left and could use Roslovic for their top six. Mason Marchment will help, but they desire more offence, and Roslovic is capable of scoring in bunches. Could be something to keep an eye on the rest of this week.
Worth mentioning the Buffalo Sabres. With new management in place, they know Roslovic very well and could circle back.I wonder where Jack Roslovic goes? Right shot center. pic.twitter.com/N0Gu1CxOER
