NHLTR Mock Trade: Blues deal Jordan Kyrou to Montreal Canadiens

The St. Louis Blues are reportedly listening to offers on scoring winger Jordan Kyrou. The 27-year-old is coming off an up and down season which ended very strong, as he finished the year with 36 goals and 70 points in 82 games. Insert the Montreal Canadiens.

The Canadiens are trying to quickly become a contender, and took a giant step forward last season, and have already locked up a number-one defenceman after acquiring Noah Dobson and signing him to a long-term contract extension. GM Kent Hughes has one of the best farm systems in all of hockey and lots to deal, which could appeal the Blues.

NHLTR Mock Trade: Canadiens acquire Kyrou from the Blues in exchange for Kirby Dach, Joshua Roy, Owen Beck and a 2026 second-round pick.

The Blues would get two of the Canadiens top prospects up front, and a bit of a project in Dach, who hasn't been able to stay healthy throughout his young career. The second-round pick is a nice cherry on top, as getting three pieces for Kyrou that can be inserted into the lineup as soon as next season seems like a win for the Blues.

For Montreal, they land a top-line scorer, and someone who can move the need for the Canadiens. Kyrou would need to waive his no-trade clause, however joining a very exciting up and coming team in a hotbed like Montreal seems like a destination that could appeal to him.

Keep an eye on these two teams, they've been linked to a big trade this summer and Kyrou could be involved.
