NHL Rumors: 3 Seattle Kraken Who Could Be Traded Before Season
While things have cooled down around the NHL since the start of free agency, there certainly is a chance that we will see teams make more trades before the start of the 2025-26 season. The Seattle Kraken are one specific team that could end up moving out some of their players.
Due to this, let's look at three of the Kraken's trade candidates now.
Jared McCann
McCann has been a very popular name in the rumor mill since the trade deadline, and that has not stopped with the summer here. The expectation is that the Kraken are open to moving him for the right return, and it's likely that several teams would love to add him to their top six. Thus, he is certainly a player to keep an eye on over the next few months.
Jamie Oleksiak
Jamie Oleksiak is entering the final season of his contract, and he has come up as a prime trade candidate this summer. With most of this year's top free agents being off the board, he could generate some interest from teams that are looking to add size to the left side of their blueline.
Jaden Schwartz
Jaden Schwartz could be another Kraken player to watch this off-season. The 33-year-old winger has one year on his remaining on his contract and could be a player the Kraken move if they do not view him as a long-term part of their plans. The veteran forward still produces solid offense at this stage of his career, so he could be a nice pickup for a team that is looking to improve their middle six.
