NHL Rumors: 2 Blue Jackets Who Could Be Traded Before Season
With most of this year's notable unrestricted free agents (UFAs) being signed already, there is a good chance that we will see trade activity pick up a bit before the 2025-26 season is here. One team to watch is the Columbus Blue Jackets, as a few of their players have been in the rumor mill this off-season.
Due to this, let's discuss two Blue Jackets who could be on the move before the season begins now.
Yegor Chinakhov
After publicly requesting a trade from the Blue Jackets, Chinakhov obviously stands out as a prime trade candidate. There is no question that the 2020 first-round pick could use a change of scenery, and there are likely several clubs that would love to add the 24-year-old forward to their roster. He has shown promise early on his career, and he could be a good fit on a team that needs more scoring in their middle six.
Dmitri Voronkov
Voronkov is another Blue Jacket who has been floating around the rumor mill for quite some time. The 24-year-old forward certainly possesses good value, as he is coming off a career season that saw him post 23 goals, 24 assists, and 47 points in 73 games. With this, he could get the Blue Jackets a nice return if they dealt him.
