Montreal Canadiens: Best Addition & Worst Subtraction Of 2025 NHL Offseason

Noah Dobson, Montreal Canadiens

The NHL season is just about here, which is undoubtedly exciting news for hockey fans. Due to this, we here at NHL Trade Rumors will be starting a series looking at each team's best addition and worst subtraction of the 2025 NHL off-season.

In this latest edition of the series, we will be taking a look at the Montreal Canadiens.

Best Addition: Noah Dobson

Noah Dobson is undoubtedly the Canadiens' top addition of the summer. The Canadiens acquired him from the New York Islanders and then signed him to an eight-year contract. With this, the Habs now have the star blueliner locked up for the entirety of his prime, and he will be a huge part of their roster moving forward.

Worst Subtraction: Christian Dvorak

The Canadiens lost Christian Dvorak through free agency, as he signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Flyers. He was a solid part of their forward group this past season, so he is a player who they could miss from their bottom six. In 82 games last season with the Habs, he recorded 12 goals and 33 points.
