Report: Jack Roslovic In Contract Talks With 2 Teams

The summer of Jack Roslovic continues.

The free-agent forward has surprisingly not signed a contract yet for the 2025-26 season, despite several destinations being linked throughout the offseason. While talks have seemed to fall through with a number of teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, and add in the fact he turned down a one-year offer from the Edmonton Oilers, and Roslovic finds himself on the outside looking in at the hockey season at the moment.

According to Chris Johnston, Roslovic is in talks with the Minnesota Wild, and a former team, Columbus Blue Jackets as we start the new year.

A few teams are already looking for forwards, Minnesota Wild; Blue Jackets; maybe it's one of those teams or someone else that comes calling, but it's only a matter of time - Insider Trading (10/7)
Roslovic, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Winnipeg Jets, and last season posted a career-high 22 goals in 81 games for the Carolina Hurricanes. He'd then add four points in nine Stanley Cup Playoff games.

The Blue Jackets have $14.2 million in cap space, so there's no worries about finding room for Roslovic to fit in under the cap as it's likely he lands a short-term deal around $2.5 million AAV.

For now, the waiting game continues as Roslovic skates in Columbus, and tries to stay sharp. With the puck dropping on a new season, look for a deal to be announced very, very soon.
