Blues Rumors: Something Of Significance Could Happen Soon
The St. Louis Blues are right near the bottom of the standings and this isn't how the organization expected this season to go. They were expected to build off of a strong 2024-25 season, where the team got into the playoffs and almost made it to the second round with the help of a rejuvenated net and younger players stepping in.
Nothing has gone right this season and multiple insiders have noted that something could happen soon, with almost anyone, to shake things up and get the team some new looks.
Darren Dreger said, "I'm looking at the teams that are most notably looking to shake things up, of course, the Blues with Doug Armstrong. It wouldn't surprise anyone if he does something of significance...in the days ahead."
Frank Seravalli said, " They're hungry and ready to do something. Doug Armstrong would sell everything except for maybe a few pieces."
Sportsnet, in particular, has three Blues near the top of their trade board. Jordan Binnington is at the top of the list, with Justin Faulk and Brayden Schenn on the list as well. There are absolutely more players who could be moved as Jordan Kyrou, Oskar Sundqvist, and Pius Suter have been mentioned, while someone like Cam Fowler could be a solid addition for other teams.
The Blues are one of the teams that are going to kick off the trading action this season as they have to do more than just sit and hope for better results from the same team that needs a big boost.
