NHL News: Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin Taking Leave Of Absence

Rasmus Dahlin, Buffalo Sabres

Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff has announced that defenseman Rasmus Dahlin will be taking a temporary leave of absence from the team.

"Rasmus will be taking a temporary leave of absence to deal with a personal matter back in Sweden," Ruff said, as shared by the Sabres' official X account. "I will say this, he said everything is okay, and through this he's got the full support by our team."

While Dahlin is taking this leave of absence, it is at least good to hear that Dahlin told Ruff that everything is okay.
The Sabres did not specify how long Dahlin's leave of absence will last. However, with the 25-year-old blueliner heading back to Sweden, it is fair to assume that he could be away from the team for a bit of time.

Dahlin has appeared in 14 games so far this season with the Sabres, where he has recorded one goal, eight assists, nine points, 12 hits, and 17 blocks. This is after he posted 17 goals, 51 assists, 68 points, and a plus-11 rating in 73 games with the Sabres this past season.
