Canucks Head Coach Admits Quinn Hughes Rumors Effecting Team
Things are going from bad to worse for the Vancouver Canucks.
The Quinn Hughes trade rumors are impacting the dressing room, and head coach Adam Foote can't do anything to stop it. Foote met with the media on Wednesday, and opened up about how it's awkward times for the Canucks right now, considering their captain and best player, Quinn Hughes, is being reportedly packaged in numerous trades throughout the door.
Here's what Foote had to say regarding the effect on the dressing room:

“They can hear it and it probably affects some players more than others. I give them a lot of credit for the way they’re handling it coming to work, coming to try and win hockey games” pic.twitter.com/CscmZsH7dn
Hughes is signed through next season, but ever since he mentioned to Canucks' management he was going to hold off on signing an extension, and eventually wanted to play with his brothers on the New Jersey Devils, things have gotten awkward.
While the Devils are surely doing whatever they can to send the Canucks what they want for Hughes, because he doesn't have trade protection on his contract, it's not a given he winds up in Jersey. The Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Philadelphia Flyers have all been rumored to be involved.
Crazy times for the Canucks, after they went through the JT Miller-saga last year, and this season have to deal with Hughes being shipped out of town sooner than later.
