NHL Rumors: 3 Vancouver Canucks Who Could Be Traded Next
A new era for the Vancouver Canucks is officially here, as they traded superstar defenseman Quinn Hughes to the Minnesota Wild in a massive swap.
With the Canucks officially committing to this retool, we should expect to see more of their players traded before the deadline. Due to this, let's look at three Canucks who could be traded next.
Kiefer Sherwood
Sherwood is a big trade candidate on the Canucks due to his pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) status. He is exactly the hard-nosed kind of player that contenders will be pursuing, especially when noting that he can put the puck in the net. With Hughes gone, the Sherwood sweepstakes should only heat up further.
Evander Kane
Kane is another notable Canucks pending UFA who should be watched. The veteran winger could generate interest from clubs looking for help in the middle six at the deadline. In 30 games so far this season with the Canucks, he has recorded five goals, 15 points, and 54 hits.
Lukas Reichel
The Canucks may have recently acquired Reichel, but the fit has simply not been there. Because of this, Reichel has already found himself back in the rumor mill as the Canucks are looking to make changes. There could be some clubs out there willing to take a chance on the former first-round pick, as he is still just 23 years old.
